Complementary capacity, not a substitute for your team

Diagnose the system. Sequence the work. Leave it running.

We are not a body shop and we are not a slide factory. Engagements are scoped to stand up or repair three things: platforms, reliability, and the capability to run both, and to make the people inside those functions more effective than when we arrived.

  1. 01 · Diagnose

See the estate as it actually is

Not a tooling audit. A picture of how work really moves: who gets paged, where toil concentrates, how demand is accepted, how cost is owned, and whether career paths exist on paper or in practice. Two to four weeks. You get a written operating picture, the equivalent of this figure for your organisation, and a sequenced set of bets.

  2. 02 · Sequence

Pick the order, fund it, stop the rest

Most platform programmes fail by running reliability, migration, security and AI enablement in parallel with no demand filter. We agree what the next two quarters are for, what they are not for, and how the budget will be defended. Hiring plans and career frameworks sit in this phase, not as a later HR exercise.

  3. 03 · Embed

Stand the function up so it outlasts the engagement

Incident practice, service readiness, DevEx and security processes, AI skills/rules/MCP, installed with the people who will run them. We hire and mentor into the shape we agreed. Success is a team that does not need us in the room.

How the work is judged

  • Operating model before tooling

Terraform, Kubernetes, Cursor and PagerDuty are not a strategy. Roles, demand, career paths and incident command are. Tools follow.

  • Production is the constraint

Transformations that cannot keep the estate up are not transformations. Cutover plans, readiness assessments and rollback are part of the work, not a go-live surprise.

  • Cost is an SRE concern

A £30M budget is an availability problem, a toil problem and a product problem. If finance is the only function looking at the bill, the platform will keep leaking.

  • Enablement is the rollout

Buying 200 Cursor seats is procurement. Skills, rules and MCP servers are the job. The same is true of observability platforms and on-call rotas.

Who this is for

Companies already operating this way, and start-ups that need to. A cloud estate and a team, or the intent to stand both up properly, with an operating model that is creaking or about to. Typical shape: a platform or SRE group that grew faster than its practices, an AI tooling rollout that stalled at licences, or a reliability programme still living in incident channels.

Based in Greater Manchester. Work is UK-first, remote-friendly, and on-site when the estate requires it.
